Biography
Tom Matty has diverse life experience as an academic, athlete, teacher, and entrepreneur. With most recent experience working within the family law system as a social entrepreneur (Canada's 1st and only McKenzie Friend), assisting self-representing litigants in person in a court of law. Tom is a family man who is dedicated to making Canada achieve its' potential for us and our descendants.

• I lived in Thailand for 12 years after being recruited by a university there and falling in love with my Thai wife.
• I returned to Canada when my children started school so they could have a Canadian education.
• Unfortunately when my marriage broke down I experienced how difficult life can be in the family law system in Alberta which led me to my current work.
Reasons to Run this Election
Why I’m running for MP
• I feel compelled to change and fix broken systems
• I believe that our current government is not listening to Canadians
• The best way to make change now is to run for MP
• I want to help create a legacy for our children
• I listened to Maxime Bernier speak after hearing all the other leaders and he was the only one I identified with. I believe in Maxime's ethics and values. He has an excellent platform that I can support.
• I want Canada to achieve its' full potential.
• I want all of our children and grandchildren to have a great future.
• I am willing to sacrifice today for our children’s' future.
• We need great leadership that is willing to promote our country abroad and not just rely on selling our natural resources.
• I believe we need to cut back on accepting immigrants & refugees and foreign aid until all Canadians are taken care of.
Messages to Constituent
My promise to my constituents:
• I will fight to support the PPC platform of stopping western alienation
• I will fight to ensure fairness in the equalization payment system in Canada. Alberta should not carry the load for the Eastern provinces.
• I will fight to improve our family values and family law system for our children
• I will fight to decrease foreign aid until Canadians are no longer suffering. Then we are in a better position to help others.
Policy Priorities
My Priorities:
• Fairness for all provinces with equalization payments. The West should not be supporting the East. Quebec needs to pay a fair portion for their hydroelectricity resources.
• Balancing the budget
• Working with the provinces to repair the family law system
• Working to create a better life for marginalized Canadians
• Stopping the erosion of freedom of speech
