Biography

Brendan is a father, husband, and public servant. Born and raised in Sebringville, he now lives in Stratford with his wife Meaghan and their two children, William and Rosie. They look forward to welcoming a third child this year.
While earning a Bachelor of Environmental Studies from the University of Waterloo, he worked as a Laboratory Technician for Aquatic Toxicology Laboratories at the university and Environment Canada. He currently works as the Executive Assistant to Member of Provincial Parliament for Scarborough-Guildwood, Mitzie Hunter, serving constituents and stakeholders and assisting with legislation at Queen’s Park.
As an active Liberal in Perth-Wellington, Brendan has participated in several campaigns federally and provincially. He has proudly volunteered with environmental organizations in Stratford and in Perth County. Currently, Brendan and his children are volunteering with the Water Rangers to monitor the water quality of the Avon River as part of a larger team testing water quality in the Lake Erie watershed.
Brendan understands the diverse needs and priorities in his riding and will be a strong voice in Ottawa for Perth-Wellington’s citizens and small businesses, as well as the agriculture, manufacturing and cultural sectors.

As the Liberal candidate for Perth-Wellington, Brendan Knight is committed to a pandemic recovery that prioritizes investing in health care, action on the climate crisis, building a stronger economy for sustainable jobs, funding early learning and child care, making housing more affordable, and helping to make our community more inclusive for all its citizens.
