Biography

Unionist, independence activist and feminist, Louise Chabot is spokesperson for the Bloc Québécois in matters of Employment, Workforce Development and Labor. Before being elected in 2019, she was president, from 2012 to 2018, of the Centrale des unions du Québec, which has nearly 200,000 members. A nurse by profession, Louise Chabot worked at the Center hospitalier régional de Trois-Rivières. She was elected union delegate for the first time in 1981 and has continued her activism for nearly 40 years.
