Biography

Seth grew up in Weyburn. He is employed by Auto Electric and has worked in both Estevan and Weyburn. Active in the labour movement, he also sang in the S.T.A.R.S choir and enjoys sport shooting, fishing, camping, as well as coaching and refereeing youth football.

Seth is passionate about better elder care and supports pharmacare for all. "Having seen my grandparents in care, I know we can do far better in terms of care and support for our elders," he says. Seth is also keenly interested in both conventional and alternative energy: "We need a fair and equitable transition to new types of energy, to ensure that no one is left behind."

Seth has taken courses toward his goal of becoming a paramedic and has been involved in local organizations such as Toastmasters, Rotary and the local labour council. He strongly supports the goals and aspirations of the labour movement and will work hard to protect and advance the rights of working people. "Workers in Saskatchewan need better rights and protections on the job," he says.

Seth’s father Wilf is a high-school teacher in Weyburn, his mother Norma works for the Saskatchewan Assessment Management Agency. His brother and sister-in-law both live in Weyburn as well. In his youth, Seth also worked in the family computer business, servicing computers and helping with customer care. He enjoys gatherings of his large, extended Saskatchewan family. "It’s about people: we can build a better future for all."
